Reem Island is an exquisite slice of natural paradise anchored on the pristine blue waters of the persian sea. The picturesque natural island lies near the northern shores of Abu Dhabi Island and directly across from Abu Dhabi Mall. It is divided into three parts: Shams, Najmat and the Pearl.  Each part will include its own business district, commercial district, residential district, schools, art galleries, parks, shopping malls, recreational centers, healthcare, world class infrastructure and commercial spots.

Shams

Shams Abu Dhabi (meaning ‘the sun of Abu Dhabi’) is a district of Reem Island, covering approximately 25% of the Island. It will become a self-sustaining city designed around soothing canals and relaxing parks, integrating world-class master-planning practices and extending the lush green of Abu Dhabi's landscape.

SHAMS Abu Dhabi features several novel projects including Shams Park, Shams Gate, Sky Tower, Sun Tower and Marina. The latter offers residents of the Sun and Sky Towers a vast array of additional facilities, such as cinemas, marina, shopping mall, restaurants and cafés.
